Nelson Maidment

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Nelson Maidment in Cambridge, Ontario, on September 15, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on May 13, 1941, Nelson was known for his warmth and thoughtfulness, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew him. He is predeceased by his parents, Eleazar and Pearl, his stepmother Elizabeth 'Lizzie', and his siblings Norma, Russell, John, and George. He is survived by his siblings, Bess and Ted (Audrey). A memorial service will take place on Monday, October 19, 2026, at 11:30 AM at Coutts Funeral Home, followed by a reception at 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital or the Salvation Army.
