Ludovina SOUSA

Ludovina Sousa passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Grand River Hospital, in her 89th year. She was the beloved mother of Valdomira Sousa (Joe), John Sousa (Edie), Linda Melo (Joe Pereira), Grace DaCosta (Manny), Paula Amaral (Herc), and Lucille Medeiros (John). She was the proud Avó of nine grandchildren, cherished Vavó to 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She was the dear sister of Floriano Medeiros. Ludovina was predeceased by her husbands, Simon Sousa (1994) and Antonio Silva (2023), and also predeceased by her siblings, Gilda Careira, Antonio Medeiros, and Tiberio Medeiros. Relatives and friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge on Thursday, June 4th, 2026, from 5:00 - 9:00 p.m. with prayers recited at 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 185 Elgin Street S., Cambridge, with interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
