Grant Henry STROME

Grant Henry Strome passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully on January 22, 2026, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital in his 87th year, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Joan Strome for 66 beautiful years. Grant was the cherished father of Daniel, Christine, and Richard, and the proud grandfather of Sarah, Jason, Anthony, Andrew, Shawn, Christopher, Ricky, Jessica, and Rebeccah. He was also a loved great-grandfather of Victoria, Mackenzie, Alexa, Skyleigh, Scotia, Chevi, Emma, Pheilim, Oliver, and Finnlay. Grant started his career working as a mechanic in Preston for Bennett's City Garage, and transitioned into being a church organ repair specialist. He ended his career as a Financial Advisor for Primerica where he enjoyed helping other people with their financial needs. As a young man, Grant enjoyed sailing with his family, and was a talented musician on his steel guitar. The family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, particularly those in the Emergency Department, for their dedicated and loving care of Grant. As were his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held during warmer weather. Barthel Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
