David William Gibbons

David William Gibbons of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 83. He was born on December 7, 1942. David is predeceased by his son, David Jr.; his parents, Horace and Lily; and his siblings, George (Shirley), Lois Porteous, Wayne Shouldice, and John Wilson. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carol; his children, Brenda Clark (Darryl), Billie-Anne Arthur (Gary), and Theresa MacDougall; and his grandchildren, Zachary (Melissa), Sarah (Eric), Cody, Michelle, Keith, Nicole (Morgan), and Amanda (Aidann). He also leaves behind his brother, John Gibbons (Marilyn); brother-in-law, Ken Porteous; and sisters, Margaret Shouldice, Doreen McRobb (Bill), Rosalie Davies (Ron), and Gwen Dias (John). Visitation will take place on September 17 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on September 18 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at The Salvation Army Cambridge Citadel at 11:00 AM. Burial will occur at St. George Cemetery at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society in David's memory.
