Daniel Edward ROONEY

Daniel Edward Rooney passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, in Cambridge at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife, Jane, and his children, David and Daniel. Daniel was a much loved grandpa of his dear Vivian Jane. He will be missed by his sisters Maureen and Colleen and his sister-in-law Nancy. He is also survived by his brother Patrick. Daniel was predeceased by his parents, Mary Mildred and William Lawrence, and brothers Billy and Denis. After studying engineering at the University of Waterloo, Daniel spent most of his working career in industrial engineering at Budd Automotive. He also worked as a consultant in other Canadian and American locations and eventually formed his own consulting business. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the exceptional doctors, nursing staff, and personal support workers for their extraordinary compassion and care, as well as to St. Andrew's Terrace, Cambridge. The family will welcome friends and family to a funeral service at Forward Church, 55 Franklin Blvd. in Cambridge, on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., one hour before the service. The service will be followed by a reception in Cameron Hall. Donations in Daniel's memory may be made to Faith's Orphans Fund or the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington.
