Bernice Cholerton

Bernice Cholerton of Cambridge, Ontario, passed away on October 21, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on April 1, 1936, she was surrounded by family and friends throughout her life. Bernice was predeceased by her husband, Frank; her parents, Alice Pettit and Bill Pettit Sr.; her brother, Ed; and her sisters-in-law, Beverly, Joanne, and Janet. She is survived by her children, Valerie Goodyear (Gary), Al Closs (Marita), and Glen Closs (Aleda); her grandchildren, Reed Goodyear, Jill Williams, Justin Wencel, Josh Wencel, Shyla Russell, and Katie Ince; and her great-grandchildren, Lilly, Emmett, Kali, and Emori. Additionally, she is survived by her brothers, Victor Pettit and Bill Pettit Jr., as well as her friend Bernice and numerous nephews and nieces. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Lounsbury Funeral Home, located at 1766 Franklin Blvd, Cambridge, ON N3C1N8. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the same location, followed by burial at New Hope Cemetery, 235 Cooper St, Cambridge, ON N3C2J9. Flowers are welcome as a gesture of love.
