Ann (née van Zeventer) van Schaik passed away on February 8, 2026, in her 90th year, at Cambridge Memorial surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 57 years, Jan (John) van Schaik (2017). Loving and devoted mother to Sylvia, John (Natalie), Richard (Lori), and Raymond. Proud Oma to Olivia (Skyler), Sam, Matthew, Christian, and Rachel. Treasured great Oma to Krissy. Last surviving sibling of six children. Cherished sister-in-law to Alex Perk (the late Nellie 2005) and his children Glenn, Donna, and Edward. Also survived by Peter and Janny Maljaars in Ontario. Will be dearly missed by her brothers-in-law, Willem (Riny) and Herman (Riet). She will be missed by all her nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all her extended family in both Canada and the Netherlands. Born in Amsterdam, Ann immigrated to Canada in 1964 with her husband, Jan, and their daughter, Sylvia. They briefly settled in Barrie before making Kitchener (Doon) their permanent home, where Ann built a life centered around family, community, and care for others. Resting at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 2723 Victoria St. N. Breslau, ON, where the family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. with the Funeral Service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Interment and reception to follow. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Camp Shalom, 1985 Beke Rd. RR #4, Cambridge, are appreciated.
