Renny Romkes

Renny Romkes peacefully passed away on August 25, 2026, at the age of 86. Born on January 19, 1940, in Dedemsvaart, The Netherlands, he immigrated to Canada with his family in 1952. Renny was a devoted husband to Doris for 52 years and is survived by his children, David, Susanne, and Ron, as well as his grandchildren, Josh, Olivia Romkes, Evan Reeker, and Cooper Romkes, and great-granddaughter, Charlotte. He was predeceased by his first wife, Joanne Oosterveldt, in 1974. A lifelong dairy farmer in Caledonia, Renny enjoyed his retirement at the cottage and was a dedicated member of the Highway Pentecostal Church for over 40 years. A funeral service will be held on August 31st at 11:00 a.m. at the Highway Pentecostal Church in Hagersville, with visitation one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
