Wolfgang Eugen Dietrich

The family announces the passing of Wolfgang Eugen Dietrich of Burlington, Ontario, on October 22, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on January 2, 1934, Wolfgang was deeply connected to many relationships throughout his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Gertrude Dietrich and Friedrich Wolfgang Dietrich, as well as his sister Marlene Daurer. Wolfgang is survived by his sister Doris Post; his significant other Linda Samek; his children, Monica Dietrich and her partner Peter Veenstra, and Kyla Dietrich; his stepchildren, Stephen Samek and his partner Nadine, Tricia Monery and her partner Steve, and Paul Samek and his partner April; and his grandchildren, Rowan, Jory, Riley, Payton, Kris, Nick, and Nicole. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 6, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, located at 1105 Rest Acres Rd, Paris, ON N3L3E3. A celebration of life will follow at 2:00 PM in the chapel of the same funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Kidney Foundation of Canada, Carpenter Hospice Burlington, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
