William Beverly GERMAN

William Beverly German, a retired Inspector with the Ontario Provincial Police, passed away on June 18, 2026, at the age of 93. He began his policing career on April 7, 1959, and was promoted through the ranks, serving in various roles including the Anti-Rackets Branch, Criminal Investigation Branch, and Professional Standards Branch, before retiring on December 31, 1987. Mr. German was a life member of the Burlington chapter of the OPP Veterans' Association and a member of the Ninety Plus Club. He is survived by his children, John and Robert, and was predeceased by his spouse, Norma. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 1100 hrs at Granton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Ontario Police Memorial Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Smith's Funeral Home in Burlington.
