Wayne Thomas "Guber" PEARCE BSc. OLS, P.Eng
Wayne Thomas 'Guber' Pearce BSc. OLS, P.Eng. passed away on June 25, 2026, at the age of 81, at Georgian Bay General Hospital, as a result of an accidental drowning. He was the beloved husband of Vicki (née Ryder) for over 52 years, devoted father of Kristi and Adam, and loved brother of Gary (Karen) and Ross. Wayne was also an honourary grandfather of Julian Quinn-Ramirez and Emily Quinn-Ramirez. He will be dearly missed by many nieces and nephews, as well as his sisters-in-law, Lylie Ryder (John) and Sandee Ryder (Carl), and brother-in-law, Robert Ryder (Nancy). Wayne was predeceased by his granddog, Bob Marley. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Thursday, July 2, 2026, from 3:00-5:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m., where the Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Friday, July 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. A livestream link will be available on the funeral home website. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Georgian Bay General Hospital or the Ontario Brain Injury Association (OBIA) would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
