He is survived by his spouse, Paola Mancini; his daughters, Eva and Sabrina; his sister, Alida Hesselink (Gerald); his in‑laws, Peter and Carmela Mancini; his sisters‑in‑law, Lisa and Laura; and his nieces, Cassandra, Madisonne and Jadenne. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
