Patricia "Pat" Helen MAYS

Patricia Helen Mays (née Mather) passed away on June 19, 2026, at Carpenter Hospice in Burlington, Ontario, at the age of 81. Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Pat spent most of her life in Burlington, where she built a life centered on family, friendship, and helping others. She was the devoted wife of Ronald Mays, with whom she shared 61 years of marriage, celebrating their anniversary shortly before her passing. Pat was a loving mother to Ron Mays Jr., a caring mother-in-law to Angie Mays, and a proud grandmother to Cole. Family was always her priority. She enjoyed bringing family and friends together and was often the one hosting holidays, birthdays, and family gatherings, creating traditions and memories that will be cherished for years to come. An avid reader, Pat also cherished family vacations to Myrtle Beach, creating special memories at Disney World with her grandson, Cole, and spending winters in San Miguel, Mexico with Ron Sr. The family extends its sincere gratitude to the staff and volunteers at Carpenter Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided during Pat's final days. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME in Burlington on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 5 - 7 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated in the Chapel on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a reception to follow. If desired, memorial contributions to Carpenter Hospice or Salvation Army would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
