NYDIA NEBELSKY

Nydia Nebelsky passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the age of 82. She will be missed by her sister, Irene Loucks (Barry). Nydia was predeceased by her sister, Helen Phillips, brother, Peter Nebelsky, and sister-in-law, Debbie, as well as her parents, Iwan and Mary Nebelsky. She is survived by her nephews, Sean Phillips, Branden Phillips (Lisa), and great-nieces, Lily and Mae, as well as her nephews, Matthew, Christopher, and niece, Allyson Nebelsky. Nydia was involved in the Shaw Festival at its startup and the Mime Theatre. She went back to university for her teaching degree in her mid years and taught in Northern Quebec until retirement. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Gathering will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Sunday, April 12, 2026 from 4-6 p.m.
