LOIS JEAN ADAMS

Lois Jean Adams passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Burlington on July 5, 2026, at the age of 96. She was predeceased by her husband Allan, son David, and sister Dorothy. Lois is survived by her children Doug and his wife Angie and their son Josh, and Debbie and her husband Gary Sumpter, as well as her grandchildren Emily and Katie. A long-time resident of the Applewood Acres community, Lois was a dedicated member of the Garden Club and Applewood United Church. She graduated from McMaster University in 1950 and was a member of CFUW Mississauga. Lois will be remembered for her love of family, teaching career, and hobbies including reading, bridge, and cheering on the Blue Jays. The family is grateful for the care Lois received at Sunrise. A visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home in Burlington on July 15, 2026, followed by a Service of Remembrance and reception. Interment will take place at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions to an animal welfare organization or charity of choice would be appreciated.
