Linda Dorina Casey

Linda Dorina Casey passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington on July 28, 2026, at the age of 78. She is survived by her sister Judy Lyons and her husband David, as well as her nieces and nephews, Christopher Lyons and his wife Samantha, and Casey Lyons. She is also survived by her great-nieces and great-nephews, Colby and Gracie. Linda was predeceased by her parents, Philip and Amanda. Born in Montreal, Linda grew up in Hamilton, Ontario, and attended Loretto Academy School and Glendale Secondary School. Despite her disability, she worked in the service industry, including selling light bulbs and working in laundry rooms for a nursing home and local hotel. Linda enjoyed music, attending concerts by notable artists such as the Beatles and Bruce Springsteen, and also enjoyed crochet and knitting. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Tansley Woods Long Term Care and the doctors in the ICU at Joseph Brant Hospital for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME on July 31, 2026, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church on August 1, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception at the church. Memorial contributions to an organization for children in need would be appreciated by the family.
