John VOORDENHOUT

John Voordenhout passed away on April 12, 2026. He is now with his daughter Heidi, mom Geri, sister Irene, brother Martin, and his two dogs, Dakota and Tessa. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dorothy, sons Mike and Chris, son-in-law Jeff Pettit, and his father John. He is also survived by his brothers Nick and Gary, sisters Adriana Van Hardeveld, Marian, Nellie, and Cathy Frame, and fifteen nieces and nephews. John was the proud and loving Opa of eight grandchildren: Brooke, Maxton, Hannah, Aria, Chase, Clayton, Paisley, and Jayden. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Friday, April 24, from 6-9 p.m. with Tributes at 8 p.m. A private family interment will follow. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the local SPCA or planting a tree.
