John Bernhart Finstad

John Bernhart Finstad, born on February 6, 1933, in Port Arthur, Ontario, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 93. He spent his early years in Port Arthur before moving to Hamilton and later settling in Burlington, where he devoted his career to Stelco's Hilton Works. John is survived by his wife, Lois, and their children, Mark, Krista, Margot, and Eric, as well as his sister, Sonja, and siblings-in-law, Lynn and David. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert. John will be deeply missed by his grandchildren, including Silvère, Lothaire, Thorvald, Warner, Alexandra, Lara, Luc, Anaïs, and Maélie, and his five great-grandchildren. Arrangements have been entrusted to SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, BURLINGTON.
