Joan Rimer

Joan Rimer of Burlington, Ontario, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 98. Born on October 6, 1927, she was a cherished member of her family and community. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Rimer; her children, Valerie Rimer (Bob Ouellette) and Douglas Rimer; her parents, Horace and Florence; and her siblings, Leonard, Evelyn, Frederick, Marjorie, and Gordon. She is survived by her children, Lynn Rimer Caissy (Mark), Ronald Rimer (Andrea Stephen), and Kenton Rimer (Janet); her grandchildren, Beth, Sharon, Maria, Sarah, Erik, Zachary, and Nicholas; and her sister, Gloria. Joan was a passionate gardener and dedicated community support worker, volunteering extensively with the Girl Guide movement and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
