Gertrude Kathrin MacFARLANE

Gertrude Kathrin MacFarlane passed away peacefully on January 2, 2026, at the age of 90. She was predeceased by her husband, John MacFarlane, and her sister, Anna, as well as her brother-in-law, Don. Gertrude is survived by her daughters, Kathryn and Carolyn; her son-in-law, Willie MacPherson; her grandson, Ian, and his partner, Katie; her sister, Elizabeth; and her brother-in-law, Bob, along with many nieces, nephews, and a great-niece. Born on November 15, 1935, in London, Ontario, to Anna and George Roth, Gertrude worked as a high school teacher before dedicating herself to her family. She lived in London, Winnipeg, Burlington, and most recently in Alliston. A Celebration of Life will be held at Smith's Funeral Home in Burlington on May 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
