Gerald "Jerry" Delanor Gilroy

Gerald 'Jerry' Delanor Gilroy passed away on July 12, 2026, at the age of 82, at his home in Burlington. He was the devoted husband of Margaret and loving father of Shawn and Diana. Jerry was also a cherished grandfather of Rachael, Tyler, James, and Andrea. He was predeceased by his parents, Annie Laurie and William, and his brothers, Bob, Hugh, and Bill. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Jerry was proud of his prairie roots. He led a full and adventurous life as an avid outdoorsman and loving family man. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home on July 22, 2026, from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel. Cremation has taken place, and private interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to Ducks Unlimited Canada.
