Frances Isabel (née Gosnell) CLUTTON

Frances Isabel Clutton (née Gosnell) passed away on Friday, May 15, 2026, in her 96th year. She is now reunited with her husband, Edward, who predeceased her in 2020. Fran was the beloved mother of Laura (Wayne), David, and Robert (Randi), devoted grandmother of William (René) and Angela (Malcolm), and loved great-grandmother of Destiny. She was predeceased by her parents, Francis and Jeanette Gosnell, and her siblings, Larry, Mary Crober, and Anne Zatylny. Fran grew up on a farm near Highgate in southern Ontario and had a love for all animals, including cats and dogs. She graduated from the Guelph Macdonald Institute in 1953 and later obtained her Master's in Library Science from the University of Toronto. Fran worked at the Burlington Public Library as the head of the audio-visual department and enjoyed her time with friends from college, colleagues, knitting circle, fellow church members, and neighbours. Fran and her husband shared a love for the outdoors, camping, walking on the Bruce Trail, and exploring the Royal Botanical Gardens, where they both volunteered.
