Elizabeth (Betty) MARTIN

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth (Betty) on September 2, 2026, at the age of 92. She was predeceased by her husband, James; her mother, Mary; her father, Philip; and her sister, Joyce. Betty was a devoted mother to Cindy and Joe, whose lives she enriched with her wisdom and support. She took great joy in her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Corinne), Brittany, and Jack, and was a proud great-grandmother to little Thea. Her beloved westie, Maggie Mae, was a cherished companion. In the 1970s, despite facing a significant hearing impairment, Betty earned an honours diploma in Addictions Counselling from George Brown College and contributed to grief counselling in palliative care. Her passions included graphic design, photography, card making, wood painting, gardening, and dancing. A visitation will be held on September 8, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Bay Gardens Funeral Home, followed by a service on September 9, 2026, at St. Gabriel's Roman Catholic Church, with burial at Woodland Cemetery.
