Elfriede Anna Gillner

Elfriede Anna Gillner of Burlington, Ontario, passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 96. She was born on May 14, 1930, to Reimund Hornung and Sophie, both of whom predeceased her, along with her husband Paul and her child Reinhard (late Laurie Gillner). Elfriede is survived by her siblings, Frieda, Luise, Herta, and Martha, as well as her grandchildren, Scott (Cheryl Gillner), Mark (Lisa Gillner), Kassidy Gillner (Brock), and Alexa Gillner (Ben). Visitation will take place on Friday, September 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Risen Christ Lutheran Church, located at 4090 Dixie Rd, Mississauga, ON. The inurnment will occur later that day at 2:30 PM at Burlington Memorial Gardens, 3353 Guelph Line, Burlington, ON. In lieu of flowers, donations in Elfriede's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
