Christa Charlotte (née Liedtke) BLUSCHKE
Christa Charlotte Bluschke (née Liedtke) passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, in her 90th year, at the age of 89. She is now reunited with her husband, Hubert, who predeceased her in 2008. Christa was a cherished mother of Hartmut (Debbie) of Vancouver Island, Armin (Inger) of Nepean, and Arnold (Carol) of Hamilton. She was a devoted Oma of Sabine (Robert), Martin (Franziska), Renate (Cole), Nate (Ginny), Rachel (David), Ryan (Tracey), Paula (Reda), Greg (Andrea), Marc (Selina), and Joseph (Michelle). Christa was a loved Great-Oma of Elif, Runa, Alexander, Hailey-Mae, Jaxson, Isabelle, Benjamin, Noah, Easton, Eli, Hailey, Evie, Damien, Dinah, Celine, Henri, and Penelope, and a Great-Great-Oma of Lorelei. She will be dearly missed by her sister Hanna, niece Erika, great-nieces Sierra (Adam), Stephanie, and great-great-nephew and niece Kai and Sydney. Christa will be fondly remembered by her extended family in Germany and Canada, her neighbours, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Conrad and Therese Liedtke. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 485 Brant Street, Burlington, on Thursday, April 30 from 5-8 p.m. A private family service will be held at Bayview Gardens. If desired, memorial donations to the Canadian Celiac Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
