Vincent Joan Blain, born on July 20, 1949, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2026, surrounded by his loving family in Burlington, Ontario. He was a devoted husband to Judy, his soulmate of 53 years, and a cherished father to Turner and Caitlin, as well as a proud father-in-law to Krystale and grandfather to Malcolm and Marcus. Vincent is survived by his sisters Agnes, Joanne, Bethana, and Maura, and his brothers Joseph and Leo. A graduate of Ryerson with a degree in journalism, he worked for notable publications including The Toronto Star and The Globe and Mail. Later, he earned both a BA and MA in education, teaching in Toronto and at Assumption H.S. in Burlington. His passion for education extended internationally with Blyth International. A devout Catholic and proud Knight of Columbus, Vincent's faith guided his life. His funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, at St. Patrick's Parish in Hamilton, with a reception to follow.
