Melvin Riepert

Melvin Samuel Riepert passed away peacefully in his sleep at Trinity Village long term care centre on the evening of February 3, 2026, at the age of 100. Born on April 11, 1925, to Walter John Riepert and Elsie Gertrude Wies, Melvin is survived by his sister, Barbara Riepert; brother-in-law, David Heldman; brother, Rodney Owen Riepert; daughter-in-law, Nina Hodgell Riepert; grandchildren, Alissa, Julia, Malcolm, and Jared; and great-granddaughter, Sloane. He was predeceased by his son, Allan Douglas Riepert, and stepson, Bill Frickey. Melvin was a devoted family man and a loyal community leader, and he will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul with a positive outlook on life. Family and friends will be received at the Carmel Church, 40 Chapel Hill Dr, Kitchener, on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 3 - 4 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the Church Sanctuary at 4 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Memory Gardens Funeral Home.
