Barbara Elaine OSBORNE

Barbara Elaine Osborne passed away peacefully at the Village at University Gates on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 93. She was predeceased in 2018 by her husband Robert Edward Osborne after 62 years of marriage. Barbara is lovingly remembered by her children, Keith and his wife Kathleen, Karen and her husband Perry Hinnegan, and Paul. She was a proud grandmother of Gillian Leslie and her husband Mark, Eric and his wife Amanda, Sheridan Weber and her husband Jeremy, Ian and his wife Jenny, and Dale and his wife Iza. Barbara was also a loving great-grandmother of Kyla, Addyson, Chelsea, Noah, Emma, Ava, Daisy, and June. She is survived by her siblings, Carl Shaver and his wife Fran, and Peter Shaver and his wife Michelle, and was predeceased by her brother Donald Shaver and his wife Donelda. Barbara is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Suominen and was predeceased by her brothers-in-law Ray, George and his wife Lee, and John and his wife Bev. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and healthcare professionals who cared for Barbara, as well as the staff and caregivers at The Village at University Gates. Resting at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life Service will be held later this spring. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
