Velma "Jean" Poirier-LaCroix

Velma 'Jean' Poirier-LaCroix passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on April 28, 2026, in her 99th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Poirier (1988) and the late Kenneth LaCroix (2006). Jean was the loving mother of Dennis (Heather), Dale (Jeannie), and Terry (Laura). She was a cherished grandmother of Chris (Becky), Kerin (James), Bradley (Seanna), Justin (Satin), Jaccob, and Joe (Traci), and a great-grandmother to Tessa, Sofia, Fox, Marley, Ireland, Scarlett, Asher, Colin, and Nora. Jean is fondly remembered by Ken's daughters Karen, Denise, Dawne, and Diane. Friends will be received at the Beckett-Glaves Family Funeral Centre, 88 Brant Ave., Brantford, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A funeral service will follow in the chapel at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Brantford.
