Richard Calligan

Richard Joseph Calligan passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 72, at Regina Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario. Born in Hamilton, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Richard is survived by his wife of 54 years, June, daughter Sarah Lagrove and her husband Michael, son Mike, and grandchildren Landon, Ayden, Ben, Lauren, and Hannah. He was predeceased by his daughter Jennifer Coates, parents Joseph and Jean Calligan, and is also survived by his brothers Steve and Dan, and his sister Jolene, as well as extended family. Richard will be remembered for his sense of humor and his passion for the Buffalo Bills and the Toronto Maple Leafs. The family thanks the staff at Regina Gardens for their care and compassion. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
