Luz Kennedy

Luz Kennedy passed away on May 4, 2026, in her 99th year. She was predeceased by her husband Denis Kennedy, who died in 1971, as well as her parents Abigail and Efigenia Posada, and her siblings Leticia, Emma, Mario, and Beatriz. Born in Manizales, Colombia, Luz will be deeply missed by her children Patty Mercante and her husband Danny, Sandra Kennedy and her partner Carlos Moctezuma, and Michael Kennedy and his wife Tenille. She was a proud and adored Abuelita to her grandchildren John, David, Christina, Daniel, Monica, and Simon, and a loving Bisabuela to Marco, Mia, Owen, Lucas, Sophia, Lila, and Ruby Luz. Luz was a woman of deep faith and devotion to her family. She will be remembered for her quiet strength and enduring love. Visitation will be held at Toll Funeral Home, located at 55 Charing Cross Street in Brantford, on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 6:00 to 8:00pm and on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 10:00am to 12:00pm, followed by a service in the Chapel at 12:00pm.
