John Anthony Torti

John Anthony Torti passed away peacefully at home on May 3, 2026, at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of Sharon (Stanbridge) for 58 years, loving father of Michael and Sloan Torti, and proud grandfather of Julia and Heather Torti and Tia MacNeil. John was the dear brother of Linda Ryan, Tom Torti, and Gina Heaton, and is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Janet Torti, and his grandsons, Keegan and Seth Torti. John dedicated much of his life to hard work and service, spending 21 years as a skilled welder with Trailmobile, followed by 17 years with the Catholic District School Board. He had a deep love for sports, particularly baseball, which he enjoyed playing and coaching. A visitation will be held at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Rd N, Brantford, on Friday, May 8, 2026, from 2:00-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
