James Spencer Harris

James Spencer Harris, also known as Jim, passed away on April 22, 2026, in Brantford, Ontario, at the age of 94. He was the loving husband of Susan DesRochers. Jim was the devoted and much-loved father to his children, Susan Howe, David, Monica Edison, Paul Harris, and Anne Collins. He was the grandfather to Rachel Baklinski, Matthew, Norah Collins, Willow Harris, and Carter Harris. Jim was also a great-grandfather to Rowan, Juniper, and Elian Baklinski, and Joseph Howe. He was predeceased by his parents, Spencer and Gertrude Harwood, his first wife Rosanne O'Connor, son Michael, and brother-and-sister-in-law Bob and Pat. Jim is survived by his sister-in-law Fran O'Connor and brother-and-sister-in-law Mike and Judy Sheridan. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at St. Pius X Church, Brantford, at 11:00 AM, followed by a reception in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society or Stedman Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
