J. Thomas "Tom" TAYLOR

J. Thomas "Tom" Taylor passed away peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital on July 22, 2026, at the age of 82. He was a devoted husband to Janice for nearly 59 years and a loving father to Brad, the late Kristine (1998), and Todd (Jen). Tom took great pride in being a grandfather to Evan (Crystina), Chadd, the late Kristoffer (2022), Austin (Sarah), and Owen, as well as a great-grandfather to Sophia, Violet, and twins Grayson and Hudson. He was the eldest sibling of Doug (Cindy) and the late Dianne Garlick (the late Cyril). Tom was predeceased by his parents, Cyril and Gladys Taylor. He dedicated 34 years to Canada Post as a letter carrier and later as a Supervisor. A longtime associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Dunsdon Branch 461, and a life member of the Brant Naval Veteran's Association, Tom will be remembered fondly. Friends may visit the McCleister Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., and on Monday from 12-1 p.m., with a service at 1 p.m. Tom will be interred beside Kristine at Mount Hope Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to McMaster Children's Hospital or the MS Society of Canada.
