Iva A. Waywell

Iva A. Waywell passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, at the age of 91, at Briarwood Gardens in Brantford, Ontario. She was the beloved wife of the late Kelvin Waywell (2016) and the devoted mother of Amy Hedden (late Carl Hedden), Reid Waywell, Scott Waywell (Jana Heber), and Beth Alvarez. Iva was a cherished grandmother to 21 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and she will be missed by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Anna May Manwill, and eight brothers. Iva was known for her service and compassion, uplifting others during their struggles. She worked at McMaster University, where she was a kind and knowledgeable advisor. Friends may visit with the family at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 461 Park Road N., Brantford, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the church on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at 11 a.m., with interment to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Copetown.
