Gordon Robert Bond

Gordon Robert Bond passed away peacefully at Hamilton General Hospital on June 7, 2026, with his sister, Evelyn, by his side. He was the beloved son of the late Robert and Laura Bond and brother-in-law to Dr. Darrell Picketts. He was the father of Rachel Bond. He was the proud uncle of Jeffery, Mark, and Ian Picketts and their families. He is survived by many Bond and Smith cousins as well as life-long friends, especially Dr. Robert Linton, Sheila Gollan, and Gayle Cunningham. Gordon was a proud Civil Engineering graduate of Guelph University and worked at Suncor in Fort McMurray for several years. He was a loyal member of St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, Hamilton. Family members want to extend their sincere thanks for the excellent care he received at Hamilton General Hospital and Victoria Gardens Long Term Care. Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Rd N, Brantford on Sunday, June 28, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. with a service to follow in the chapel. Following the service, friends are invited to remain for a time of fellowship and refreshment. If wished, donations to the Mission Services of Hamilton are gratefully appreciated.
