Elizabeth Jean "Betty" (nee Stewart) FABER

Elizabeth Jean 'Betty' (nee Stewart) Faber passed away on May 6, 2026, at the age of 95, surrounded by the love of her family at the Brantford General Hospital. She was the loving wife of the late Russel (2025) for 69 years. Betty was the much loved mother of Dana Faber (Ryan), Carolynn Cryer (Darren), and Darryl Faber (Stephanie). She was the beloved grandmother of Courtney Tobey (Marc). Betty was predeceased by her siblings, Jimmy, Margaret, Lil, and Renie, and by her sister-in-law Virginia Duncombe. She will be fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. Betty worked for many years throughout Brantford at various places, including Bell Telephone, Brantford Clinic, Proctor Packers, and The Capital Theatre. She also volunteered for over 25 years with the Brantford General Hospital. The family will receive friends at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road N, Brantford, on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. A memorial service will follow in the chapel at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Betty to the Canadian Cancer Society.
