Denise Joan Challen

Denise Joan Challen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the age of 77, at the Brantford General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Nigel Challen for over 43 years. Denise was the cherished mother of Nicole and Jocelyn, and the proud grandmother of Sawyer. She was the dear sister of Peter, Jeanette, and Elizabeth. Denise was also a loved aunt of Aletta. She was predeceased by her parents, Lloyd and Joan, and her niece Alicia. Denise will be dearly missed by her cat, Fika. Visitation will be held at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home, located at 96 West Street, Brantford, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., followed by light refreshments. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brantford General Hospital or Stedman Community Hospice.
