Catharina Geertruida Vandenberg

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Catharina Geertruida Vandenberg of Brantford, Ontario. Born on July 5, 1935, she passed away on October 17, 2026. Catharina was predeceased by her husband Kryn VandenBerg, her siblings John, Carol, Peter, Dorothy, Jim, and Elly, as well as her parents Cornelis Mantel and Pietertje Mantel. She is survived by her children Case (Wynne), Frank (Marian), Trudy Lalonde (Claude), David (Henderika), Bonita Miedema (Mike), Sheila McKenzie (Andrew), and Stuart (Karen). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 2:00 PM at the Providence Free Reformed Church, located at 269 St George Rd, Brant, ON N0E1N0. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ontario Christian Gleaners, 1550 Morrison Rd, Cambridge, ON N1R 5S2, an organization that was close to her heart.
