Shawn Dawkins

The family announces the passing of Shawn Dawkins of Brampton, Ontario, on October 6, 2026. Born on July 1, 1977, in Toronto, Ontario, Shawn was deeply connected to many relationships throughout his life. He is survived by his mother, Allison; his siblings, In'll Dawkins-Porter, Danville Dawkins, Andre Dawkins, Antonette Dawkins-Baker, Roman Richards, and Crystal Richards; his children, Shayanne Dawkins, Shayla Dawkins, Ayden Dawkins, Shanay Myrie, and Anaiyah Jarvis; as well as his nieces and nephews, Aryn, Arianna, Lydia, Aaliyah, Naihla, Faith, Akaylah, Janayah, Devaughn, and Dhenzle Dawkins. Visitation will take place on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will follow on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at the New Life Covenant Centre, located at 7050 Bramalea Rd, Mississauga, ON L5S1S9. Burial will occur on the same day from 1:45 PM to 2:15 PM at the Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery, situated at 10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6. A reception will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Canadian Convention Centre, located at 79 Bramsteele Rd, Brampton, ON L6W3R6. Following COVID, Shawn faced six years of significant health challenges.
