Reta Thwaites

Reta Thwaites, of Brampton, Ontario, passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on February 1, 1933, in Hamilton, Ontario, Reta is fondly remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her beloved husband, Douglas, and her children: Stephen (Barbara Hyde), Sandra (Joe Conte), Joe, and Kathleen (John Exley). Reta also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Sarah (Alexander Falk), Samantha (Caleb Sample), Alison, Jeremy, Nicole, Alexandra, and Heather. Visitation will take place on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, followed by a celebration of life at 1:00 PM, both at Brampton Funeral Home & Cemetery, located at 10061 Chinguacousy Rd, Brampton, ON L7A0H6. A burial will follow from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM, with a reception at 2:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Alzheimer Society of Canada, or Breakthrough T1D would be appreciated.
