PETER HAROLD BELL

Peter Harold Bell, born on April 20, 1941, in Brampton, passed away on February 13, 2026, at the age of 84. He grew up in Cataract and began his career as an entrepreneur at a young age, selling and delivering baled shavings and hay from South River before he was 16. Peter married Marjorie (nee Gray) in 1968, and they had two sons, Craig, who predeceased him in 2013, and Darryl. Peter also blended his family with sons Gary, Brent, who predeceased him in 2021, Paul, and Mark. He purchased 100 acres in Mono Township, five miles north of Orangeville, in 1966, and from there, he bought and sold farm and industrial equipment. Peter was known for his sharp mind for numbers and his keen eye for a good deal. He provided valuable financial solutions as a private lender to many when traditional banks were not an option. Peter is survived by his son Darryl, and will be deeply missed and remembered by his numerous associates across the province, friends, neighbours, and family.
