Mrs Johanna Mary Hoy (Jan)

Johanna Mary Hoy (nee Kenny), 'Jan', passed away peacefully in her 91st year on January 19, 2026, at Bethell Hospice with her family by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband James Hoy. She is cherished by her children James, Louise (Warren), David (Tracy), Joanne (Rob), Ann-Marie, her grandchildren Michael (Yvonne), James, Brent (Pam), Jennifer (Udo), Michael (Crystal), Janelle (Jay), Daniel (Brittaney), Alex (Alyssa), Rory (Alexia), and her great-grandchildren Ava, Kai, Reilly, Gordon, Zachary, Maddison, Harper, Connor, Sloane, Liam, Brody, Annie, and Aaron. Jan is also survived by her sister Mary Dunn, who was predeceased by her siblings Norah, Betty, Michael, and Jimmy, as well as many nephews and nieces across Scotland, Australia, and Canada. The family would like to thank the staff at Bramalea Retirement Residence and Bethell Hospice for their care and kindness. A gathering to remember Jan will be held at Bramalea Retirement Residence on Sunday, January 25th, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Bethell Hospice would be appreciated.
