John Bozek

John Bozek passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, in his 102nd year. He was the beloved husband of the late Eva (Andronik) and dear father of Jack, Cathi (late Tom) Erdman, and Janet (late Chuck). John was also a grandfather of Lucas (Rachel) and Zachary (Taylor) and a great-grandfather of Fox, James, Izzy, and Kayla. He was predeceased by his brothers Mike and Steve and his sisters Jessie and Mary. John was born in Ukraine and came to Canada at the age of eight, spending his childhood and teenage years in Timmins. He married his wife Eva in Montreal in 1946 and eventually resided in Brampton. John worked at TCA (later known as Air Canada) as an interior maintenance supervisor for 30 years before retiring in 1984. He was a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus and participated in various fundraising events and charitable activities. John dedicated much time to local charities, including the food bank and the legion. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff and volunteers at Burton Manor for their care and compassion. Friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home 'Brampton Chapter' on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, with a prayer service at 4:30 PM. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to a local food shelter or the Crohn's association would be appreciated.
