Dr. Edward Michael Lobinowich

Dr. Edward Michael Lobinowich passed away suddenly at Quinte Health Care North Hastings Hospital, Bancroft, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Donna (Horton) Lobinowich. Loving father of Lori (Andrew), Michael (Nadine), and Mark (Sandra). He was a loved grandfather of Noah, Corbin, Landon, Jakob, Milana, the late Hanna, and Nathan. Brother of Stella Hardie and the late Jenny Bergman (late Gordon). Brother-in-law of Ronald Horton (Joan) and Robyn Horton (Anita). He is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and friends. Ed was a large animal veterinarian with the Federal Government for over 35 years. He and Donna vacationed in the Bancroft area for over 40 years. Ed was a man of faith who served his local church as a faithful steward and mentor to many. He loved fishing and hockey, and his last day was spent doing what he loved - being on the water of Paudash Lake with his family. Edward's family received relatives and friends at the Bancroft Pentecostal Church on Saturday, June 29, 2024, from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. A Funeral Service followed at 3:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike West presiding. Interment took place at Ridgeway Memorial Cemetery, Fort Erie, on Tuesday, July 02, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. A Celebration of Ed's life took place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Hope City Church, presided by Rev. Randy Neilson. A luncheon followed. The family appreciated expressions of sympathy in the form of donations to Gideons (Shareword), Bancroft Hospital, or Hope City Church in Brampton. Arrangements were entrusted to M.G. Daly Funeral Home, Maynooth.
