William Reide Thrasher

The family announces the passing of William Reide Thrasher on September 4, 2026. Born on July 23, 1951, in Bowmanville, Ontario, William was known for the many shared moments and relationships he cultivated throughout his life. He will be remembered fondly for the time spent with loved ones and the joy he brought to those around him. Friends and family are invited to honour William by reflecting on the cherished memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. He is survived by his beloved wife, Joanne Thrasher; children Christina (Derek), Jeff (Stefanie), and Lisa (Craig); grandchildren Aiden, Austin, Aleah, Owen, and Logan; step-grandchildren Ian and Trevor; parents Patricia Stewart and Peter; siblings Kim Mangnall (Brian), Lynne Verriet (Bert), Tom, Dianne McParland (Jim), and Greg Thrasher (Gaye); father-in-law Cecil Pickard; and many nieces, nephews, friends, and his Island family.
