Petrus (Peter) Van De Hogen

Petrus (Peter) Lambertus Van De Hogen passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 86. Born on September 16, 1939, in Nistelrode, Netherlands, he was the son of the late Frank and Anna (nee Van Aalst) and was the 5th of 8 children. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Annette Van De Hogen (nee Benoit), who died in 2021, and by his daughter Lisa Anne in 1964. Peter is survived by his son Jason Van De Hogen (Elaine) and his grandchildren Ian and Emily. He is also survived by his brother Frank (Carol) Van De Hogen and his sister Nellie (late Joe) Venclik, and was predeceased by his brothers Martin (late Liz) Van De Hogen, John (Mary) Van De Hogen, Adrian (late Anne) Van De Hogen, and Joe (late Helen) Van De Hogen, and his sister Annie Beuglet. Peter and his wife Annette purchased land on Communication Road in Blenheim in the mid-1960s and began building their life together, dedicating themselves to farming. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 24, from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm.
