Sylvia Carole Curry

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Sylvia Carole Curry on May 6, 2026, at the age of 88, in her home. Born on November 19, 1937, in London, Ontario, Sylvia is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Bill, and their children: Sharon Dixon (Ed), Kathy Fairfield (Dave), Bill Curry Jr. (Denise), and Jenn Irwin (George). She was a cherished grandmother to Chad, Kate, Stefanie, Taylor, Nathan, Zack, Benn, and Reid, and a beloved great-grandmother to Shay-lyn, Derek, Wyatt, Tristan, and Harleigh. Predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Violet Sowden, and her sister, Judy, Sylvia had a distinguished career in customer service, including roles at Towers Department Store and State Farm Insurance. A passionate advocate for MADD Canada, she dedicated over a decade to raising awareness about impaired driving. Sylvia's creative spirit shone through her hobbies, including writing children's books, ceramics, and sports. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
