Shirley Anne Dempsey

Shirley Anne Dempsey of Belleville, Ontario, passed away on August 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on January 13, 1944, she was a beloved member of her family and community. Shirley was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Lillianne Stewart, and her siblings, Rita (Walter), Albert, Don, and Marg (Fred). She is survived by her husband Jerry, her sons Bryon (Dania), Stephen, and Todd (Abby), and her grandchildren Patrick, Ryan, Serena, Alexandria, and Daniel. Shirley is also remembered by her siblings Sonny (Sondra), Christine (Tony), Karen (Terry), and Helen (Ken), along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral Mass was held on September 3, 2026, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, followed by a celebration of life at the Knights of Columbus Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Quinte, whose care was deeply appreciated.
