Raymond Rion

Raymond Rion of Belleville, Ontario, passed away on October 12, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on April 16, 1936, Raymond lived a life surrounded by family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Edison Rion and Lola Rion; his wife, Shirley Rion; his daughter, Cheryl Howes; his grandson, Raymond Howes; and his siblings, Donald, Beverley Snowball (late Buck), Joan Claus, and Norman Rion. He is survived by his children, Jim (Susan), Cathy Polan (Bruce), and Tim (Denise); his siblings, Carol Dawson (late William) and Roger Rion (Nessie); as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation took place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Rushnell Funeral Homes - Belleville, located at 80 Highland Ave, Belleville, ON K8P3R4. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 10:00 AM at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 296 Church St, Belleville, ON K8N3C6.
